Lisa Marie Presley was asked by the Church of Scientology to persuade one of Danny Masterson’s rape accusers not to report him to the police, a court was told Tuesday.
And years later, she apologized to the alleged victim for trying to keep her quiet, said a prosecutor at Masterson’s rape trial.
The shocking claim came as the Scientologist actor’s defense team tried to have Presley, 54 – a former Scientologist – banned from taking the witness stand, calling her testimony ‘irrelevant ‘ and ‘prejudicial.’
Judge Charlaine Olmedo denied the request to exclude Presley’s evidence but said that if Elvis’ daughter testifies, she will restrict what she can say to just what she knows about alleged victim Jane Doe 1’s rape claims and not allow her to make broad statements about Scientology.
